5 protein shakes that go with weight loss

Your weight loss goal is closer than you think with these shakes.

I know it is. Mine is too. And it’s why when I have nothing to eat and do not feel like cooking, either because of time or pure laziness, I turn to protein shakes. NotEvery is too busy to cook! only the shakes help you skip on junk food, but they are also a good substitute for meals when weight loss is your goal.

You have to remember that weight loss can only occur if you eat fewer calories than you spend in your daily activities. Looking at someone do an hour of intense cardio just to negate it all with 700 calories shakes just kills me inside. And that’s a problemI often see with people making shakes. They contain more calories than what they would eat had they had a meal.

Shakes for weight loss

A good protein shake should always contain a good amount of protein (duh), some carbs and some fat. If you are not aiming for weight loss, then you could have a higher carbs ratio in it.

The following shakes are meal replacements and can be taken once in a while. They are not going to replace all the food in your diet. You still need to eat plenty of veggies. Banana & Oats protein smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • half a banana
  • 1 tsp ground flaxseed
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup orange juice

 

This shake provides a good amount of protein while also containing carbs from the oats and banana. You can skip the orange juice and add more water if you think that you have enough sugar for the day.

While coconut water is full of electrolytes to keep you well hydrated, the avocado will add a nice texture to the mix.

What’s better than Nutella? Even more chocolate! Mix it the ingredients and then top the shake with the squares broken into crumbles (hint: freeze it first).

If you have a sweet tooth, this shake will do the trick. But please be responsible with the Nutella!
